Restaurants (Ask for student discounts at these places). ICA members get a discount at all of these places, just remember to carry your ICA membership card.

* The Clay Pit: Old world charm and contemporary Indian cuisine blend beautifully at Clay Pit, Grill & Curry House, located in the Historic Bertram Building at 16th & Guadalupe in downtown Austin. The Clay Pit is an ideal setting for a romantic evening, while one can enjoy an array of great north Indian food with soft Indian music classics in the background.

* Sarovar: This restaurant emphasizes the specialties of India, including a wide range of curries and creamed sauces. Located at 8440 Burnet Rd Ste 100, it’s a lovely place to enjoy an exotic meal, eastern decor and formal service.

* Swad: Swad offers conventional Indian snacks and you cant get any closer to home. Samosas, chaat, pav Bhaji and the very special Gujrati Thali are among the hot favorites. Located at 9515 N Lamar Blvd. Good for a snack or full meal.

* Star Of India: Ride the culinary journey with Star of India with its great spread of North Indian food. A great place to go when you get that Indian food craving and need something quick and easy. Located at 2900 W Anderson Ln.

* Taj Palace: A gracious and exotic feast for the senses. Taj Palace caters to the north and south Indian. They have an extensive lunch and dinner buffet that gives one the opportunity to try a lot of their food. Located at 6700 Middle Fiskville Road, St 406, it makes for a great dining experience.
